Today I played in a Golf Channel tour event and won. The night before I was reading a book to Aivry and it was about a fairy who won a race because she was having fun and didn't really care as much about winning as she did about enjoying herself. I felt like this was a fun way that God was reminding me to just go out and play with joy for Him and His glory. My golf score does not define me, my relationship with Him does, and so when I play I must do so in the ways that best honor Him.
Earlier in the week I got my first hole in one. I got it in the evening after deciding not to play in the morning because I wanted to spend time with Aivry, Josiah and Brie, but most importantly spend time in devotion to God. I felt God telling me that the hole in one should serve as a reminder of the blessings that come from keeping my priorities straight. Life in general is better and more blessed when God is first and center in all things.
